The International Actuarial Association Mortality Working Group, which is working on the mortality and longevity issues within the framework of the IAA, has now produced an Update from its latest meeting held in Cape Town, South Africa, November 19th and 21st, 2016.
The Update contains the summary of discussions at the meeting. It also provides access to the detailed minutes of the meeting, MWG papers and presentations. With many thanks to our translators, all of the 11 language versions of the Update (English, French, Spanish, German, Japanese, Mandarin, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Turkish, Hungarian) are now available on this page here located on the IAA website. Please do pass this message along to everyone who may have an interest on the MWG activities and Update. You may choose to inform them in your local language should you wish.
When you are sending the information to actuarial associations and/or other groups, would you please keep a note of the names of the organizations and groups you are emailing and send a copy of this list to the members of MWG Marketing Subcommittee which include: Ksenia Novikova: ksenia_ore@hotmail.com; Michael Eves:Michael_Eves@swissre.com; and Leza Wells: lwells@rgare.com.
MWG is happy to share its knowledge and materials with as many interested parties as possible (actuarial associations, pension funds, universities, etc). At the same time the MWG wants to enhance the benefit it can bring to all interested organizations and parties by improving its work through the feedback it may receive from these organizations and parties. For this, we have set up a short survey form click here that we would be very grateful if you and/or anyone reading our Update and/or materials could provide us. We would greatly appreciate receiving any feedback no later than Monday, March 20th, 2017. When you further disseminate the information on the Update please ask the recipients to provide their feedback on MWG materials and activities.
For your information as well, we would like to invite you to attend the upcoming seminar on mortality and longevity issues. This will be a seminar presented by both the IAA Populations Issues Working Group and the IAA Mortality Working Group to be held on 18 April 2017 in Budapest, Hungary, the day before the start date of the IAA Council and Committee meetings.
