The organizing committee is seeking ideas for sessions that will deliver relevant content at the 7th SOA Asia-Pacific Annual Symposium. The theme of this year's event is "Beyond Traditions – A World of Opportunities." The committee is looking for seasoned and engaging speakers who are interested in sharing their expertise and delivering interactive sessions at the symposium. The committee is particularly interested in hot topics and non-traditional practices in areas such as life, health, pension, general insurance, finance, investment, ERM, predictive analytics, innovation technology, soft skills or professionalism, as well as other topics that appeal to actuaries practicing in the finance and insurance industries around the world, especially in Asia. For a full list of potential topics, click here. You can submit your proposal through the online submission form.
As you develop your proposal, consider how you can deliver content in an engaging way. Aim to make your session memorable and meaningful so that attendees will leave your session with ideas on how they will apply their new learnings. Please note that the sessions are intended to be educational and not a forum for an individual company, product or software.
If you have a colleague who is an expert on a particular topic, please let them know about this opportunity. The organizing committee reserves the right to decline any proposal if it is determined that the topic is not a right fit for this program. You may contact the organizing committee at apac@soa.org.
