【About ICA/VICA 2018】
|
|
Let's start with a general overview of ICA 2018 – in this section you can find a schedule with information on the congress formats and the award sessions. Furthermore, read about the special formats of ICA 2018, such as the Young Researchers Program, the Diversity Conference and the Virtual ICA 2018.

【Call for Papers】
|
|
The scientific program will include up to 11 parallel sessions with about 100 slots for the presentation of submitted papers. Each parallel session will last 90 or 120 minutes and will consist of 30- to 45-minute talks. With the Call for Papers, the Scientific Committee wants to motivate actuaries, scientists and practitioners to participate in shaping the program with leading-edge ideas, research results and insights that will expand and grow the current body of actuarial knowledge.

【Awards and Prizes】
|
|
A special highlight of the scientific program will be the award sessions. In these sessions, award-winning and outstanding results will be presented. Read about the requirements to apply for the ICA 2018 Best Paper Awards as well as the IAA Section Best Paper Awards in order to share your results with a large audience of actuarial professionals, renowned academics and scientists from all over the world.

【Young Researchers Program】
|
|
Alongside plenary, semi-plenary and various parallel sessions the ICA 2018 will also offer several formats that are particularly suitable for the active participation of academics at the beginning of their careers: the innovation platform, a summer school, a deep dive and the bursary program.

|
|
|
【Online Sessions】
|
|
For the very first time, and as an innovation of ICA 2018, the scientific program will also include a variety of virtual formats on dedicated topics. Anyone who is interested but unable to participate in the ICA on site will find a suitable alternative in the Virtual ICA 2018. Follow the ICA 2018 live via internet or participate in one of numerous online sessions on various special interest topics.

【Social Program】
|
|
At the end of the scientific program each day, participants are invited to join outstanding social events. On Tuesday and Thursday afternoon, attendees can choose between several interesting excursions through Berlin or the fascinating limited attendance experiences. Additionally, three evening events are included in the full week ticket!

|
|
|
|
【Fees】
|
|
Registration for the ICA 2018 will open on 1 December 2017.
All speakers will receive a discount on the regular full- or half-week ticket.
Registration includes admission to the scientific sessions as well as the social program.

|
|
|
